Welcome to the website of the Mu Delta Chapter of Theta Tau at UC Merced ("the chapter," "we," "us"). By using this site, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. About this site

This site shares information about the chapter, its members, events, and recruitment. It is run by student members and is not operated by the University of California, Merced. Nothing here is an official statement of the university or of the national Theta Tau organization.

2. Using the site

You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting;
• use automated tools to copy or collect member names or other information from the site;
• use the site to harass, impersonate, or harm any person; or
• use chapter names, letters, or materials in a way that suggests you represent the chapter when you do not.

3. Content and ownership

The text, photos, and design on this site belong to the chapter or are used with permission. The name, letters, badge, and other marks of Theta Tau belong to the Theta Tau organization. You may view and share links to the site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, or sell its content without our written permission.

4. Member and alumni information

The Family Tree and Members pages and our notable alumni listing are provided for the chapter community and for visitors who want to learn about us. We try to keep names, lineages, dates, and alumni workplaces accurate, but they may contain mistakes or be out of date. If you spot an error, or want your own entry updated or removed, email thetatau@ucmerced.edu. See our Privacy Policy for more.

5. Events

Dates, times, and locations on the Events calendar can change without notice. Attending an event may be subject to separate rules from the chapter, the university, or the venue.

6. Messages you send us

If you send us suggestions, photos, or other material, you confirm you have the right to share them and allow the chapter to use them for chapter purposes, including on this site. We are not obligated to use or reply to anything you send.

7. Third-party links and embeds

This site links to and embeds services from other companies, such as Google Calendar, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and the UC Merced CatLife Member Site. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Disclaimer and limit of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available," without promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, the chapter and its members are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or from your reliance on its content.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
